actually wear bikini she developed cold feet and started
throwing tantrums that the bikini colour is not happening
and she would prefer to wear short skirt instead.But the
director put down and said short skirt was out of
question.It created a major argument between them and
Rituparna Sengupta left the set and locked herself in her
vanity van.But after two hours she conveyed the message to
director that she is fine in wearing bikini.Reliable source
report -it was her co star Yuvraaj Parashar who finally
convinced her to wear bikini as there is more than
friendship between them.On being asked about the incident
Rituparna admits- 'Ya I was little conscious to wear bikini
but i wore it as I am professional actor'.Then why she made
such a hue and cry about it?Nothing as dramatic happened,
there was just a discussion and I agreed'.When asked Sanjay
he refused to comment.Yuvraaj says- I am not aware if such a

Mirage, is based upon some hard facts, and some true events.
But, a dramatic license has been taken to make this a work
of fiction. The story is bold, hard hitting, potent and yet
very entertaining. The year is 2000, and the place is Delhi,
India. USHA, a young girl in her twenties, marries MICKY, an
NRI from London and goes for a never-
to-be forgotten honeymoon holiday in Kulu Manali, North
India. Three months later, her husband MICKY goes back to
London with a promise that he would send all the required
legal papers, immigration documents and the visa as soon as
he hits London. Several months into it, she is still waiting
for those papers to arrive. She is tired of playing the
‘waiting game’. She refuses to be like thousand of those
girls who are anxiously waiting for those illusive papers to
arrive so that they would have an official permission to go
and
join their husbands wherever they happen to be in the world.
Unlike those thousands of girls who are still waiting, USHA
takes a bold step. Three months later, she lands in London.
She gets a tremendous shock – both emotional and cultural,
when she discovers that the things were not just what she
has been told in superlatives before the marriage. MICKY’S
pigsty living conditions irritated her to no end. She also
takes it in her stride, his relationship with an English
woman – ROSI, a divorcee. SHE could also put up with MICKY’S
foul temper and tantrums, but she can not face the emotional
and physical tortures and traumas. On each of such
occasions, MICKY would threaten her that he would, without
any hesitation, report her to the British Home Office for
her illegal status and the visa violations.
The story develops many layers and moves forward on several
moods – emotional intrigue, love and hate. Shades of wife
bashing dominate most of the time and is seen through the
eyes of young RAJI, one of USHA’S friends who lives in the
same house.
One day, USHA meets a black young student, ANDY ROBERTS 20,
who has taken up a casual job during the summer holidays. He
is kind, caring and loving. They get to know each other. He
takes an instant liking to her. He takes her out and devotes
a lot of time towards her well-being. That was the beginning
of a new life for USHA. Is that what she had looked forward
to while in India?
A time comes when she has to decide whether to carry on
living in that burning hell created, she thinks, by fate and
her husband or to leave that for a more peaceful, serene and
loving life with ANDY ROBERTS in the lush valleys of
Scotland? Will she opt for a new life against her beliefs
and upbringing or stay behind with MICKY to die a silent
death. While she is going through that emotional upheaval,
she and Andy are discovered by MICKY - a meeting perchance
that brings the greatest tragedy in her life – a tragedy,
drawn once again, from a true event not many years ago in
London. A DISTANT MIRAGE, is a simple, bold and well woven
story and it has a lot of beautiful moments.
BARU – The wonder kid
It is the story of a twelve year old orphan boy BARU and his
courageous journey to free his sister ANANNYA (fondly called
as ANI), from the clutches of the Devil Prince - ZUKAYU.
BARU’S parents were very sincere and honest people. Once,
they prayed to god to give them such a power by which they
would be able to serve or help the people better. Their wish
was granted! And to their happiness, they were blessed with
a daughter, who would get the power called KABOOM on the day
she turns three!
Unfortunately, the news about KABOOM reached the Devil’s
Kingdom very soon. And as soon as the Devil Prince ZUKAYU
heard this, he started making malicious schemes to snatch
the great power of KABOOM, before it was bestowed upon ANI.
Soon after ANI was born, BARU’S parents were going to the
other village through a jungle when something mysterious
happened. They vanished without a trace, never to be seen
again!
From then on BARU looked after his kid sister, and showered
all his love and affection on this angel. BARU did not know
that ANI was actually a gifted child. He was oblivious of
the dangers lurking around ANI. Both BARU and ANI were
living happily with their friends, when suddenly one day ANI
is kidnapped by ZUKAYU.
Now the story turns thrilling with BARU’S search for ANI. He
has no idea about ZUKAYU’S whereabouts, still he is
determined to bring ANI back. During this fantastic and
adventurous journey, he realizes what his strengths are and
overcomes his weakness. On his way, he wins the hearts of
many people and learns war techniques. Inspite of all the
difficulties, BARU’s love for his little sister remains
constant. It is this love that becomes his biggest strength.
Will BARU reach on time? And even if he does, will a
ten year old boy be able to fight the Devil Prince?
What will happen to ANI? What is KABOOM? Who will get
the power of KABOOM?

Neetu Chandra became one of the few privileged Bollywood
celebrities to have the honour of running with the
Commonwealth Games torch (popularly known as the Queen’s
Baton) in her hometown Patna, this week.
Neetu was selected for the relay, owing to her active
association in sports. Apart from being a regular basketball
player, the actress is a Black Belt 2nd Dan, having
participated in various martial arts tournaments at a
district, national, as well as international level.
“The Commonwealth Games promote international integration,
so it was a huge honour for me to sprint with the torch. I
got goose bumps in excitement,” she exclaimed after the run.
“The Queen’s Baton felt like a ‘power baton’ and gave me a
different kind of high. It was a mix of pride and
responsibility,” Neetu added. Way to go, girl!

North West Mumbai Shri Gurudas Kamat has started the ‘Mobile
Office’--- a First of its Kind Movement by any Polictician
in India; which was innaugrated by the Chief Minister of
Maharashtra Shri Ashok Chavan, yesterday.
A Special vehicle (Tata Hexon) has been converted into a
Mobile Office which will visit all constituencies of
NorthWest Mumbai, everyday. The Mobile van will be found
from 8am-9am at the railway station of the scheduled area
and will then move to the bylanes. The vehicle will come
back to the Head office at 1pm and Drop the collected
letters.
It will start its round again at 2.30pm and will go on till
9pm. The Office Workers seated in the Mobile Office will
hand over Complaint/Suggestion sheets to the people who wish
to voice their concerns, problems or appreciation.
Shri Kamat says “I will officially reply to the letters
within 48 hours, hence shunning the apprehension of the
Public towards delay”. His Office will then start following
up on the complaints and they will strive towards
eradicating the Problems of the people.
The Mobile Office is his way of staying in touch with his
electorate and providing them with the Security of having a
Leader to take care of their problems. He says “I want my
people to know that I am with them whenever they need me and
I will do all it takes to solve all their problems and make
their Lives easier”.
The CM was Proud to also inaugurate the Head office of
Mr.Kamat which will be open to the Public from 9 am to 9 pm
