has started showing 'Baanyan Tree Media and Entertainment
Pvt.Ltd.'s daily soap "Pehchaan" . This Monday to Friday
Shyam Maheshwari directed afternoon (2.30 pm) soap is being
produced by Poorva Gokhale, Gautam Chaturvedi, Gurudutt
Revankar & Shishir Shah.
Pehchaan is a story
of a Punjabi family of Pratap Naryan and his three
daughters Shyama (Shewta Gautam, Vidya (Suruchi Adarkar) and
Deepa (Amruta Sant). All three girls, despite being sisters,
are miles different from each other; where Vidya is a
talented but simpleton, Deeepa is egoist and haughty, where
Vidaya everybody's favourite, Deepa is hated by everyone.
This family has Mausi Kajari (Rinku Karmarkar)who plays the
role of instigator and keeps provoking Deepa against her
family and Vidya. The clash of these two sisters makes the
gist of this serial.
Two of four
producers – Poorva Gokhale and Gautam Chaturvedi are actors
but they are not playing any role in this serial as they
think such thing always cost quality of the serial, and the
rest two producers – Gurudutt Revankar and Shishir Shah are
Marketing strategists, thus making this whole team perfect
for success.
Poorva and Gautam
have done 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki 'and became house hold name
during those six years of KGGK. They were also seen and
admired in Kaash and Ghar Ek Mandir. This time actors duo
have shifted their focus to production work.
The director of
Pehchaan, Shayam Maheshwari, has done many serials for Zee,
Sony and Star Plus, Saat Pher, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki are just
a few of them.
The serial has

for ‘Best Actress in a comedy role’
The ‘8 th
Idea Indian Television Academy Awards 2008’ has
acknowledged Disha Vakani a.k.a ‘Dayaben’ of the hugely
popular and well known series ‘Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah
Chashmah’ on SAB with an award. Disha won the ITA award for
the ‘Best Actress in the comic category’ for her role as ‘Dayaben’.
The super hit family comedy which airs at 8:30 pm every
Monday to Thursday on SAB, prides itself at being a comedy
series that gives meaningful insights into everyday problems
in a manner which is laced with humor and aimed at keeping
families together.
“Hey maa! Mataji”
exclaimed a highly energized Disha Vakani as she was
presented the award. In the show, Disha has kept viewers
enthralled with her histrionics and funny ways. She is known
to love her character so much that besides reel life she
continues to portray Dayaben in her real life too. Dayaben

The story of a couple's

being marred by the presence of a supernatural element
Zee TV is proud to announce the launch of
'Shree', a love story with a paranormal
element. This is the first time that a love story and a
paranormal angle are being blended together to form a show
like never before. In fact the outdoor creatives proclaim "Pavitra
bandhan par ashubh saya", which amply
substantiates the combination of two distinctively separate
storylines in a seamless lattice. The show debuts on 22nd

Ketki Dave who became synonymous with her famous out cry
‘Aa-ra-ra-ra-ra’ as Dakshaben in a popular serial on Indian
television, will now be seen a completely unique and new
avatar. Coming back to the small screen, she plays the role
of a notorious Don who creates complete pandemonium for all
those around her. Completely charged up to play this
different genre, Ketki will be seen in her new look as a Don
starting Monday, December 8, 2008 at 9:00 pm every Monday –
Thursday on SAB.
Ketki plays the
role of ‘Ritaben’ who is the daughter of a famous Don in Goa
and is the successor of his business after his death. Known
for her explicit character as ‘Don Rita’, she plays a very
obstinate character that always gets her way with things.
She makes her husband dance to her tunes all day long.
Suffering the ordeals of life, ‘Aman’ (Amit Dolawat in a
double role) who is actually quite a few years younger to
her is forced to marry her at gunpoint. Compelled to do all
the household chores, ‘Aman’ has to deal with his wife’s
different mood swings as she often kidnaps people and loots
banks according to her own whims and fancies thereby
creating havoc amongst those around her.
To add fuel to the
fire, further chaos is created when ‘Aman’ (Amit Dolawat)
and ‘SMS’ (Mushtaq Khan) run into their respective doubles
resulting in evident confusion and mayhem in the show. ‘Lo
Ho Gayi Pooja Iss Ghar Ki’ which binds the family with it’s
rib-tickling humour essentially is a show that revolves
around ‘Pooja’, a young girl from a small town who has big
dreams and doesn’t want to be pinned down to normal
obligations of society.
‘Aman’ the male
protagonist of the show plays a double role - one opposite
‘Pooja’ as her emerging love interest and the other as ‘Don
Rita’s’ dominated husband. This interesting connection
brings about a lot of confusion and adds to the humour that

premiering its magnum opus RAJA SHIVCHATRAPATI on
November 24th, 2008, at 8:30 p.m. Showcasing a
star studded cast, including the renowned Dr. Amol Kolhe
as Raja Shivchhatrapati, Mrunal Kulkarni as Jijabai,
Avinash Narkar as Shahaji, Yatin Karyekar as

was 'destined' to win
As young gun Ashutosh Kaushik is
declared the winner of 'Bigg Boss', there is a
numerology
theory that has been stamped. "There are times, the public
helps participants win a reality show. There are times good
PR helps boost their case. There are times the on-screen
frivolities propel them into limelight. And then there are
times, when 'calculations' show them as clear winners.
Though Ashutosh Kaushik had the votes in place, and a
good dose of the glamorous Diana Hayden for company,
we should not forget that he was also 'destined' to win,".
He revealed that numerology has played a key
role for Ashutosh to be the 'Bigg Boss' winner? "Winning is
in Ashutosh's streak. He first won the 'MTV Roadies'

how the science of numbers has played a key role in this

Ashutosh is born on October 2, 1979, which
makes him a Number 2 in numerology ruled by Moon (Number 2)
and Neptune (Number 7). Numbers 2 and 7 always go hand in
hand. He is a Libran (which means, he is ruled by Numbers 6
and 8 – Venus and Saturn) and his destiny number adds up to
Number 2 (Moon again). (2 + 1 + 0 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 9 = 29 = 2 +
9 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2 ). This, in simple words, means, Ashutosh
is ruled by Numbers 2 and 7, not once, but twice. Which is
'twice' as good!
According to numerology, Numbers 2 and 7 are

and 7 persons. Going by this theory too, Ashutosh qualifies
in this study with distinction marks, both in terms of date
and age. (His birth date – 2 and Age – 29).
The finale episode of 'Bigg Boss' happened
on Nov 22, which added up to Number 4 and the compound
number obtained from this date was Number 7. Both are
Ashutosh's strongest numbers.
Sangghvi further remarks, "Being a Libran,
Ashutosh is partly ruled by Number 8 (Saturn), and all
people ruled by this planet should avoid the color 'black'
and opt for 'blue' instead. It was a Saturday (the day of
Shani) and Ashutosh was rightfully wearing a 'dark blue'
velvet coat in the final episode, while his competitor
Raja Chaudhary was wearing 'black'."
What's more! The boy's voting ID was also
'ASH 11' which again adds up to Number 2.
Needless to say, if numerology is to be

The general
stereotype is it's the saas who keeps the "TIJORI KI CHABBi"
but not any moree…now the saas has to compete versus their
bahus to win the right!
Swastik
production's saas vs. bahu introduces the concept of "CHABBI
KA CHALLA". The best performer of the day gets a key to
tejori and there would be a gift placed inside it. But no
doubt the level of competition has also increased.
And which saas will
tolerate that the right to keep the keys goes to her bahu!
When rucha performed though longi said she did better than
kareena kapoor still priya said she could have been more
sensuous! Nimisha got shocked but she challenged she could
do better and she would! And so it was nimisha next,
unfortunately her dupatta got stuck on stage but she managed
well.
After nimisha's
performance, began the usual tu-tu mein-mein between the
saas and bahus. When bahus were taunting nimisha, neelam
comes to defence saying "chodd do usko kale kapdon waliyon",
to which bang came the reply from bahus that "apki buri
nazar na lage isliye pehne hai kale kapde!" And also calls
neelam "fruit plate" looking at her colourful dress!

Even in her workplace (she is a nurse in a hospital), Radha
has her share of adversaries as much as friends, Lecherous
moneylenders, and spiteful secretaries. Inspite of them all,
Radha remains the woman that she is, simple, loving and
trusting. And it is these qualities that endear her to the
men in her life. Like Mohit…. her childhood mate who
cherishes a deep desire to marry her. And it is also a
perfect match; she had found a loving mother-in-law in
Mohit’s mother, Uma who adores her. The question arises that
if Radha gets married then who will take on the
responsibilities of the family?

all, Radha destined to be a loner? Is the family that she
holds close to herself not her family, at all? For Radha,
life is something she has no control over, as it leads her
through its various twists and turns, the men destiny brings
to her life and takes them away too. Destiny has much in
store for her, not just her family or her hospital or the
sleepy town.
Is it so difficult for this girl to achieve her simple dream
to get married? Will Radha ever achieve that dream of hers
despite the fact that age is catching up with her?
Radha has come to the Nerurkar house with a baby ( Dr.
Radha’s baby ) Due to the common name she is mistaken to be
Dr. Radha .Dr, Radha was swapnil’s wife . Swapnil was
Shivajirao Nerurkar’s eldest son , he was a lecherous man
who had tried to rape Radha earlier when she was with his
family , he died in an accident(story similar to Kati patang
in some sense). Radha could never tell the truth about her
identity as had promised Dr, Radha that she would take her
baby to her rightful house and take care of the parivaar.
She stays in the house being swapnil’s widow always putting
family before everything .
Shivajirao was against Swapnil marring Dr. Radha so he was
thrown out of the house and hrence no one had seen Dr. Radha.
Shivajirao eventually accepts Radha , Shlok the younger son
of the house , falls in love with Radha. Shivajirao is
against widow re- marriage and wants Shlok to marry Aarti ,
after lot of drama shivajirao finally agrees to Shlk Radha
marriage when at the last moment Swapnil returns from the
graves. Radha is scared that her reality will be revealed
and that Swapnil will once again try and take advantage of
her , under this fear she leaves the house but swapnil
catches her and threatening the baby’s life gets her back
home.

heated argument over saving the grace for one selves midst
performers
After the
performance of Manish and Manava when it was time to give
the verdict on their performance, Aruna brought up the topic
of the elegance and the sex element in man and woman's
performances. Apparently she was not happy with the
movements done by Manish on the song "Dhaga La Lagli Kala"
and rated them less. She was explaining how important the
moves of "kamar" are. She accepted it that this is
not performer's fault but the choreographer's and was trying
to pin point it on longi. Longi in defense says that it's
not always necessary to take the steps as on in the film if
so then "you don't need me, you can get a DVD player and
copy the steps". To which Aruna pounced back saying it's not
the steps but one should enjoy the joy in dancing. When this
all was happening Faisal" when he showed his back he wasn't
given marks now when Manish and Manava
aren't showing their back still they are not given marks".
To which Aruna pointed out that their is a difference in a
man and women showing their back. Faisal to this fell
offended and he also felt offended with the thing that
Manish is being insulted for no reason. On that note he
wanted to leave the show saying that he is not here to get
insulted. To which longi replied "if you have come here
as a guest, don't behave like a pest!" also Aruna
bluntly tells Faisal that they at not point were trying to
insult Manish but it's about you who is feeling insecure
about your own performance. On which he points out that he
doesn't like the point of view of judges.
Faisal was
unnecessarily getting involved in the argument with the
judges. Kirti gets insecure with the fact that if Faisal
leaves how is she supposed to perform and keeps questioning.
Faisal then becomes arrogant and really burst about the
unusual comments made by judges and was being childish by
saying that if they do something wrong Longi should come and
tell them on stage. When Aruna gives a very harsh reply
to it Faisal finally leaves the set Kirti was almost in
tears and begs Faisal not to leave. Vikram and Karan also
try to stop Faisal but he departs the stage leaving the
audience and the fellow actors and judges in shock. Then
Kirti also reacts to it and blames Aruna for underestimating
their performance .
Aruna gets
frustrated and claims since here we have only baseless talk
it would better if she too quits. But with lot of pleas and
requests she stays. Faisal returns back to stage and
everybody insists that he apologies to Aruna. Aruna asks him
for a public apology. Finally the matter is settled with a
"jadoo ki jhappi!"
